Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services has been partnering with iHeart Media since September 2013 when we had our first discussion about a communications campaign to create an inclusive world for veterans and their families in communities and across America.

Now in its 8th year, iHeartRadio Show Your Stripes is iHeartMedia's long-term effort to help guide veterans back into civilian life.

The on-air campaign has been highlighting the valuable skills and attributes that veterans possess that make them positive contributors to our communities. The spots focus on the value of veterans and less about the patriotic/right thing to do. Supporting veterans is good for our economy, our communities and businesses.

This year, in partnership with Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services, iHeart is refreshing its award-winning iHeartRadio Show Your Stripes to realign with some of the most pressing issues facing Veterans today. The program framework is built upon the Eight Dimensions of Wellness released by SAMHSA to help people better recognize and achieve overall wellness.

True to the program's initial mission, Show Your Stripes highlights stories of organizations, corporations and communities that are positively contributing to the overall health and wellness of our veterans in an effort to inspire others to support our veterans and their families and contribute in a variety of ways that will continue to help our servicemembers succeed in communities across the U.S.. Additionally, the program is focused on connecting veterans with the resources available both nationally and within their communities.

In exchange for Dixon Center's invaluable expertise of helping iHeart populate the website with appropriate resources and copy and helping to collect veteran and public testimonials for audio, Dixon Center will be tagged in all Show Your Stripes spots as well as inclusion on the website.

If you would like to learn more about our work with iHeart Media or how your organization can leverage Dixon Center's expertise providing influence, ideas and actions that organizations can use to integrate veterans and their families into existing programs, please contact the President of Dixon Center, Colonel Duncan Milne at This email address is being protected from spambots.
