Identifying the Evolving Needs of Veterans & Their Families

Evolving-Needs-No-Pic

On Nov. 4-5, Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services is participating in the 2021 Veterans Summit sponsored by University of Chicago and the Robert P. McCormick Foundation. This virtual and in-person event is bringing together leaders throughout the veteran ecosystem to discuss the research findings from the 2020 Veterans Symposium and to share best practices and solutions to ensure that student veterans and their families reach their full potential.

By partnering with academic institutions, like University of Chicago, Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services helps shape critical research to identify veterans evolving needs and to propose innovative solutions that ensure successful outcomes for veterans and their families. During the symposium, Dixon Center will share the importance of focusing on the eight dimensions of wellness to developing successful, holistic programs that support all who are touched by military service.

The summit is also an opportunity to hear from a dynamic thought-leader and speaker on veterans issues and the challenges facing our wounded veterans, Colonel (Ret.) Greg Gadsen. Greg travels the country sharing his inspiring story as a wounded veteran. His story is one of resilience, hope, and the importance of family in overcoming obstacles and thriving.
